Applying to Humboldt is an exciting and complicated process and this web page is a great place to start. By clicking the links below, you can apply for admission to HSU, register for on-campus housing and apply for financial aid.

After you have applied, you will get a letter that explains how to log in to the Student Center. We recommend that you check your Student Center at least once a week for important updates, To Do List items with important deadlines, and much more. 

IMPORTANT APPLICANT INFORMATION

Fall 2012:  HSU is closed for freshmen, transfer, and unclassified post-baccalaureate applicants.

Graduate, Credential, Certificate of Study and International applicants have separate and/or additional requirements. Check with specific departments for deadlines. Apply here.

  1. admissions

    Apply to HSU online by visiting csumentor.edu. We'll contact you if we need your transcripts.

    Be sure to check residency eligibility before you apply.

  2. housing

    Apply for on-campus housing using the online housing application. If you want to live off campus, check out the listings.

  3. financial aid

    The first step in applying for financial aid is to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). File your FAFSA by March 2nd for priority review.

    Fall 2012 and Spring 2012 - First time users will be given log in information in a letter from the Office of Admission.

out-of-state students save big

Humboldt State is a member of the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) program. WUE enables students from 14 eligible western states outside California to save $8,910 per year on Humboldt State’s regular out-of-state tuition. For more information, visit our WUE web site.
