ES 280 CouRaGeouS Cuentos Production 26598 IA,This course is focused on editing and producing the department's CouRaGeouS Cuentos student journal. Students will move through the full publishing process and gain valuable experience on the evaluation of writing submissions, curating a body of work, copyediting, typesetting and designing the annual issue.

Includes keynote presentation, Hip Hop party, workshops, film screenings, and discussions. ES 480 Act to End Racism 26846 IA,We are living in a challenging time: old forms of racism are appearing in new guises, while overt white supremacy is re-entering the public arena. Familiar forms of liberal multicultural activism have not transformed racialized systems of inequality. But this is also an era of inspirational activism, where mass movements are challenging the very logic of racialized violence, exclusion and marginalization, from Black Lives Matter to the Dream Defenders. We will explore together ways to learn from and act with these movements to transform our campus community.
