Spring 2017 Grades, Diplomas, and Transcripts

Spring 2017 Grades

Grades due from faculty: To the Office of the Registrar by 11:59 p.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2017.

Grading process finalized: Thursday, May 25, 2017 (estimated)

After the final grade submission date of May 17, 2017, it takes approximately five business days to “finalize” grades. This includes running such processes as repeats, presidential scholars, incompletes, and academic standing; there are many additional processes that must run to make grades official. During this window, students may be able to see grades appear via Student Center as we begin the grade posting process, but grades are not considered official, official transcripts cannot be released, and degree awarding cannot begin until after the grading process has been finalized.

Spring 2017 Degrees/Diplomas

Once grades have been finalized (see “Spring 2017 Grades” above), the process of clearing degrees can begin. It takes about 8-12 weeks to clear the approximately 1700 students eligible for graduation this term.

Once the degree has posted, it will immediately appear on both official and unofficial transcripts while the diploma is processed. Diplomas are printed and mailed approximately three weeks after the degree is cleared/posted, beginning in late June and continuing through September.

Transcripts can be ordered anytime: http://www.humboldt.edu/registrar/transcripts/

Official transcripts are not released during the grade processing period (see “Spring 2017 Grades” above).

Special note: If you wish to have your transcript sent after your Spring 2017 grades have posted or after your degree has been posted (or both), be sure to check the appropriate box(es) on the Official Transcript Request Form (PDF).
