Where we are located

Located in Arcata, 270 miles north of San Francisco and 95 miles south of the Oregon border, on 144 acres of land, it is nestled in a spectacular setting of redwood forests, rushing rivers, solitary ocean beaches and mountain ranges.

Average temperature and rainfall

Temperatures average 63 degrees during the summer and 57 degrees year round. Overall, Humboldt County receives an average of 37.5 inches of rain per year.

Academics

There are many study options available to Humboldt students. With 47 baccalaureate degrees, 69 minors, 63 concentrations or areas of emphasis, 10 graduate programs, 25 credential programs, 15 certificates of study, and 4 pre-professional programs.
