RS 391 Texts and Traditions of Yoga23439IA,Yoga today is often synonymous with physical exercise, yet the history of yoga includes much more than stretching and relaxation. From hot yoga, to goat yoga, to beer yoga, one might wonder what the sages of ancient India would think of today¿s interpretation of yoga. This upper division course will explore the history, texts, and traditions of yoga as well as contemporary concerns including post-colonial perspectives, cultural appropriation, and secular yoga in the health and wellness industry.
HYFLEX Course: Students will have the option to attend either in person or virtually during
